The Comprehensive BASI Pilates Teacher Training Program in Marbella (mat & machines) provides comprehensive pilates training covering the full range of method devices: Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ped-a-pul, Ladder Barrel, Step Barrel and other auxiliary accessories. It is a comprehensive and intensive professional-level program that provides a solid foundation for starting a Pilates career.
The course also includes a training in the “Block System” (BASI Block System: a methodology of programming and teaching created by Rael Isacowitz); and a training in the science of human movement, anatomy and physiology.
At the end of the course you will be able to:
- Work in accordance with the principles of Pilates and introduce these principles to clients and students.
- Evaluate posture and types of posture, and detect postural deviations.
- Solve problems and provide effective exercise solutions for many physical conditions.
- Compiling comprehensive and safe pilates programs tailored to individual needs.
- Use the BASI® System Block to successfully manage individual and group sessions.
- Analyze and understand pilates exercises based on anatomical and biomechanical principles.
- Demonstrate a high level of the vast repertoire of classic Pilates exercises, as well as the wide range of original BASI exercises.
- Use the complete line of all major pilates appliances, including the revolutionary Avalon System.
- Modify the exercises according to the person’s needs and objectives.
- Work with specific populations and be prepared to continue BASI’s Advanced Education Courses.
COURSE DETAILS:
Comprehensive BASI Pilates Teacher Training Program in Marbella (mat & machines)
Language: Taught in both Spanish and English.
Theoretical hours: 72 hours divided into 4 weekends:
- 21 – 23 Feb 2025 [module 1 to 3]
- 28 – 30 Mar 2025 [module 4 to 6]
- 25 – 27 Apr 2025 [module 7 to 9]
- 16 – 18 May 2025 [module 10 to 12]
Fridays 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm – Saturdays 10:00 am to 5:00 pm – Sundays 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Practical hours: 500 hours to be completed as follows:
- We will offer our Pilates study for the internship and with each student we will coordinate the availability of schedules, days and other factors that must be taken into account according to personal circumstances.
- 100 hours of observation in our study that will be free of charge in the schedules that we will provide to the students. You can also do them from home through “BASI interactive” for $10/month.
- 200 hours of teaching as a trainee instructor, which will also be free of charge.
- 200 hours of personal practice to be completed in two ways:
a) Practice of mat and machines between students or alone (without instructor) in the studio (which will also be free) or at home or another place or studio.
b) Receiving classes in our studio. These classes with studio instructors (private or group) have a temporary student discount (discount not applicable with Faculty classes). This discount ends 1 year after the start of the course. Classes and tutorials with BASI Pilates faculties will not be discounted.

Course price: $5,000 USD
$500 as initial deposit (includes the Non-Refundable $100 USD Processing Fee). The balance of $4,500 USD is to be paid up to 14 business days prior to commencement of the program unless you choose to do installment payments. To pay in installments you will need to enroll with the deposit, and then reach out to Brandon at student@basipilates.com. He will be able to assist with setting up a payment plan. The due dates are 14 days prior to module 1 and 14 days prior to each subsequent weekend of modules.
- BASI Mat graduates will be able to deduct to the Comprehensive Programme 100% of what they paid in the Mat Programme if they enrol within 2 years after the last module of the Mat programme and do not attend the Mat part of the Comprehensive Programme. If they want to repeat the Mat part to refresh their knowledge (recommended) the discount will be 50% of what they paid for the mat programme.
- If you want to repeat the course (called audit), it costs $250 USD per module you want to repeat. Or $2,500 USD for the 12 modules.
Practical Examination Price: $250 USD (not included in the course price to be paid 10 days before the exam). This price only entitles you to one opportunity. If you fail, you can retake the exam at the next sitting by paying the exam fee again.
Price of theory exams: Free of charge. They are taken online and you can take them as many times as you need until you pass.
